My name is Emily and I'll tell you why I started this website. I didn’t like how I felt in my body and with my weight but I didn’t want to seek what was out there. I tried going to the boot camp gym, following youtube videos on exercises I didn’t know if I was doing them correctly, counting everything on fitness pal, and eating salad with bland chicken. I didn’t want to do it anymore so I gave up until I heard a talk about whole food plant based diets. I read “Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease” by Dr. Esselstyn Jr., a Cleveland Clinic doctor, and it made sense to me.
I tried/experimented with eating that way. I started losing weight. I also ate foods that weren’t whole food plant based so I didn’t waste the food I already had at home. I’ve lost over 20 pounds since December 2021.
To the point: I want to encourage doubters like me. You can try new things. You lose weight by eating whole food plant based.
